Air Defense Forces have shot down 79 drones used by Russian troops to attack Ukraine since the evening of June 18. Eight locations were hit.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
On the night of June 19 (starting at 6:00 p.m. on June 18), the enemy launched an attack using 90 combat UAVs—including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., Air Defense Forces had shot down or neutralized 79 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Nine combat UAVs hit eight locations, and downed UAVs were found at eight locations.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russia attacked ships flying the flags of Panama and St. Kitts and Nevis in the Black Sea with drones; one crew member was killed, and five were wounded.
