The State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Moshe Lachovitz, a 21-year-old resident of Jerusalem, for contacting a foreign agent and collecting intelligence for Iran.

The prosecution is requesting the court to order Lachovitz's detention until the completion of the legal proceedings against him.

The indictment, filed by attorney Yishai Ziegman of the Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office, stated that while seeking employment, Lachovitz contacted a person who identified himself as "Michael."

"Michael" asked Lachovitz to carry out various tasks, including gathering intelligence and photographing areas in Jerusalem and Ra'anana.

Continued to work for Iran upon realization

Lachovitz was paid in cryptocurrency; his total earnings amounted to thousands of dollars.

According to the indictment, despite realizing that the individual he was in contact with was working on behalf of Iran, Lachovitz continued to work with them. Lachovitz also drove a vehicle without a driver's license.

The indictment charges Lachovitz with offenses including contact with a foreign agent, providing information to the enemy, and other crimes.
