Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s testimony in his criminal trial began at the Tel Aviv District Court on Tuesday morning, after a two-month pause due to the war in Iran and security developments in the region.

Present in the courtroom were Likud MKs Tally Gotliv and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.

Questioning continued by prosecutor Yehudit Tirosh on Case 4000, the Bezeq-Walla affair, where Netanyahu is accused of advancing regulatory decisions that benefited Shaul Elovitch, then the controlling shareholder of Bezeq, in exchange for favorable coverage on the Walla news site, which Elovitch controlled. Netanyahu is charged in that case with bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, and denies all charges.
