Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has disclosed details of more than 100 companies involved in the production of Su-57 fighter jets.

Details: DIU posted an interactive 3D model in the Components in Weapons section of the portal, along with details of 103 companies cooperating in the production of these aircraft.

According to intelligence reports, among the companies identified is St Petersburg-based Krasny Oktyabr PJSC, which manufactures auxiliary power units – gas turbine engines for the Su-57.

The list also includes the National Institute of Aviation Technologies, which is involved in developing the design of the aircraft's multifunctional cockpit glazing.

In addition, the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Electrodynamics of the Russian Academy of Sciences is developing and carrying out work on the application of radar-absorbing coatings on aircraft components, while YaSHZ Avia LLC produces aircraft tyres for Su-57 fighter jets.

"About one-third of these companies are still not subject to restrictions by any of the countries in the sanctions coalition, allowing them to retain access to foreign technologies and the component base necessary for the development of Russia's combat aircraft," DIU noted.

The agency stressed that cutting off the Russian military-industrial complex's access to advanced technologies would not only strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities but also contribute to global stability and security by depriving the aggressor of tools in a new technological arms race.

Background:

  • Earlier, DIU published data on 48 companies belonging to the Russian holding company Shvabe, which is part of the state-owned corporation Rostec.
  • DIU also previously released an interactive 3D model and components of the Russian reconnaissance drone Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg.
