On May 8, Russian forces shelled the Donetsk region eight times, injuring one person and damaging residential buildings and a gas pipeline.

Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, in Sydorove of the Sviatohirsk community, Kramatorsk district, a private house was damaged as a result of enemy attacks. In Mykolaivka, technical facilities and two vehicles were destroyed, while in Sloviansk, one vehicle was damaged.

In Kramatorsk, a truck was damaged, and in Pryvillia of the Cherkaske community, a private house and a gas pipeline were affected. In Druzhkivka, a multi-story residential building was damaged.

The Bakhmut district also came under Russian attacks. In Riznykivka of the Siversk community, private houses were damaged.

Overall, Russian forces shelled settlements in the Donetsk region eight times over the past day. A total of 603 people, including 100 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
