At least 16 drones hit targets across 11 locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell in four locations, the Air Force said, adding that the attack was ongoing.

Casualties, regional impact

In the Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and four injured in a morning strike on the Zaporizhzhia district, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said. Several private houses were destroyed in the village of Balabyne.

In the Odesa region, Russian drone strikes damaged energy infrastructure facilities, regional governor Oleh Kiper said. An energy site was hit in an evening attack, while additional overnight strikes caused damage to critical infrastructure. No casualties were reported, and emergency services are working to deal with the aftermath.

Ukraine’s largest private energy company DTEK said a substation in the Odesa region was seriously damaged in the attack. Repair crews are assessing the damage and will begin restoration work once security conditions allow. Power outages are expected across the region, with scheduled restrictions to be introduced following guidance from the national grid operator Ukrenergo.
