President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Sunday, June 21 that Ukrainian defense forces executed a series of long-range strikes against Russian military logistics, the oil industry, and air defense systems.

In a Telegram post, Zelensky characterized the operations as “fair responses to brutal Russian strikes against our people,” expressing gratitude to the Security Servive of Ukraine (SBU), Unmanned Systems Forces, the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR), and the Special Operations Forces for their coordination.

He noted that the operations targeted facilities on both sides of the Kerch Strait, specifically citing maritime logistics in the Krasnodar region and an oil depot in occupied Kerch.

The president also confirmed the successful targeting of military logistics routes, four radar stations associated with S-400 systems, and two “Pantsir” air defense complexes.

Strikes on strategic refineries and ports

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) provided specific details regarding the operations. According to their official statement, Ukrainian forces struck the Tyumen (“Antipinsky”) oil refinery on June 20. The facility, located more than 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, is one of the largest refineries in Western Siberia, producing diesel and gasoline for the Russian military. The results of the strike are currently being verified.

Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky announced that the AFU will expand the use of experimental systems designed to counter Russian attack UAVs and FPV drones following recent field tests.

The military also confirmed strikes overnight into June 21 on the “TES-Terminal-1” oil facility in Kerch, a key site for the transshipment and storage of fuels used by the Russian occupation forces. A fire was recorded on the premises.

Across the Kerch Strait, Ukrainian drones targeted the infrastructure of Port Kavkaz in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. The General Staff reported a confirmed fire at the port, emphasizing its role as a vital logistical hub connecting the Russian mainland with occupied Crimea.

The SBU confirmed its involvement in these operations, noting that specialists from its “Alpha” Special Operations Center collaborated with other military branches to hit the targets. The SBU stated that the strikes hit the tank farm and oil depot territory at Port Kavkaz, and containers with petroleum products at the “TES-Terminal-1” in Kerch.

Air defense and logistical routes targeted

The SBU also reported disabling four S-400 radar stations and two Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun complexes positioned directly on the Crimean Bridge.

In addition to energy and air defense infrastructure, Ukrainian forces targeted several key transportation arteries. The General Staff reported strikes on railway bridges over the North Crimean Canal near Rozdolne, near Petershagen in the Zaporizhzhia region, and across the Sivash near Chonhar. These bridges are used by Russian forces for military transport, personnel relocation, and logistical support.

Furthermore, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian command post near Pochaiv in the Belgorod region, along with several unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) command posts located near Myrne and Novoivanivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, Komar in the Donetsk region, and Horky in the Bryansk region of Russia.

The SBU emphasized that the destruction of port infrastructure, fuel facilities, and air defense assets creates significant logistical challenges for Russian forces and degrades their operational capacity.
