Smart Shooter has secured its first contract from the US Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) for the supply of SMASH 2000LE fire control systems.
The systems will be used to address operational counter-small uncrewed aerial system requirements.
Smart Shooter has secured its first contract from the US Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) for the supply of SMASH 2000LE fire control systems.
The base agreement, valued at nearly $2.4m, provides for the delivery of the SMASH 2000LE systems, spare parts, and training.
The contract also allows for further optional purchases, which may total an additional $2.3m for extra systems, parts, and training.
This initial order establishes Smart Shooter’s first direct relationship with JIATF-401 and broadens the company’s engagement with the US Department of War (DoW).
Through JIATF-401’s Market-Place acquisition process, US military branches may now obtain SMASH fire control systems, such as the SMASH 2000LE, SMASH X4, and SMASH Hopper 5000.
The equipment is intended to meet operational counter-small unmanned aerial system (C-sUAS) requirements.
JIATF-401 was formed by the US Department of War to coordinate counter-drone capability development, integration, and deployment across US military and federal agencies.
The task force manages operational needs, evaluation, training, and procurement of C-sUAS solutions in cooperation with armed services, government agencies, and industry.
SMASH 2000LE, also referred to as SMASH 3000SA, is a handheld-operated fire control system equipped with connectivity features for integration with external sensors and battle management setups.
The system combines computer vision, artificial intelligence, and target-tracking technology to assist users in detecting and engaging both aerial and ground threats, including small drones.

Smart Shooter’s SMASH line of fire control systems is fielded by defence organisations in countries including the US, Israel, the UK, Germany, Nato members, and other allied nations.
In December last year, Smartshooter received a contract to supply its SMASH 3000 Fire Control System for technology evaluation by the Australian Defence Force (ADF) under project Land 156 LOE 2.
