Trump threatens war to force peace as Iran sends conflicting signals
If no breakthrough is reached in negotiations, the cease-fire is expected to expire on Tuesday night – and Trump has already warned of the consequences of renewed fighting ■ Netanyahu continues to leak assessments, or perhaps his wish, that the talks are on the verge of collapse

The United States has once again dispatched a senior delegation to Pakistan for the second time for another round of negotiations with Iran on a permanent cease-fire in the Gulf war. Vice President JD Vance is heading the delegation. Meanwhile, over the course of Monday, Iran sent out conflicting messages on whether it would send a team to the talks in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital. It appears that a power struggle is underway in Tehran over whether to continue the talks.
