U.K. arrests four suspected of spying on Jewish sites for Iran
British police arrested four people on Friday as part of a counter-terrorism investigation into suspected Iran-related spying, according to U.K. authorities.
The investigation is focused on suspected surveillance of locations and individuals connected to Jewish communities in the London area.
As part of a pre-planned operation, police detained one Iranian national and three dual British-Iranian nationals. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is linked to Iran. All four are being questioned in relation to suspected national security offences, with investigations ongoing.
Iran vows wider attacks as leadership trio seeks Khamenei successor
The Iranian military has announced an escalation of its retaliatory attacks nearly a week after the outbreak of the war. State television reported on Friday, citing the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters – which takes operational command of Iran's armed forces during wartime – that "in the coming days, the enemy will face more intensive and wide-ranging strikes."
